Nutrition is often overlooked as a factor in mental/emotional wellness.  Especially in the case of trauma history, stress or illness, our brains do much better with good food, including protein, at frequent intervals.  These are some great resources presented with compassion.

Kristen Allott, ND points out the importance of protein for trauma survivors and various mental health struggles such as depression. Cindy Olejar has put together recipes and simple tips for eating and cooking healthy while making whole food choices enjoyable. She freely provides support for individuals and families and has a regular newsletter.
